This electrically operated auto-desiccator cabinet features an absorption/regeneration cycle for the silica gel desiccant. No desiccant tray is needed. The gel is contained in the control section where it absorbs moisture to maintain a low (30-40%) relative humidity. The absorption period lasts 4-1/2 hours (5-1/2hours with 50Hz), indicated by a green pilot light. After this period, the silica gel is regenerated for a 1/2-hour period, indicated by a red pilot light. After regeneration of silica gel, the cycle repeats.
